Audrey J. (Blackman) Koenig

Audrey J. Koenig, age 88, of Holland, OH, passed away on August 1, 2017. She was born in Detroit, MI to Amelia and Arthur Blackman. As a young girl, Audrey moved to Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Shaw High School. She married Donald Johnson, who passed away during the Korean War. She later married Allan Y. Koenig and lived in Cleveland until 1977, when they moved to Holland, OH. Audrey enjoyed bowling, puzzles and playing cards. She worked alongside her husband Al as his office assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leslie (Vivian) and Arthur (Martha) and husbands, Donald Johnson and Allan Koenig.Surviving are her children, David (Karen), Diane Uhlman and Scott (Laura) Koenig; and grandchildren, Emily, Steven, Andrea, Mahalah and Willan. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., (419531-4424) with a Memorial Service being held at 4:00 p.m.Interment Springfield Twp. Cemetery.The family wishes to thank Elizabeth Scott Community and Hospice of NW Ohio for their wonderful care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Elizabeth Scott Community or Hospice of NW Ohio.
