BENJAMIN PERTCHECK

Benjamin Pertcheck of Toledo, OH, born November 14, 1927 died peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Pasadena, FL. Benjamin was the son of the late Hyman and Ethel Pertcheck and was predeceased by his brothers, Louis, Ralph, and Meyer Pertcheck. He was 90 years old.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Helen; his daughters, Candace Solomon (David) and Dr. Melani Shaum (Blaine); grandchildren include Josh Solomon (Jessica), Rebecca Gray (Ben), and Katherine, Jamie and Abby Shaum; he has five great-grandchildren.

Ben was a proud graduate of Libbey High School in 1945 and he organized Libbey High School reunions for many years. Upon graduation from Libbey, he joined the US Army and served for two years. Ben was a master watchmaker for over 60 years and an avid Ohio State fan.

Services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Robert H. Wick/Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Rd., 419-531-4424. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, OH.
