Marianne Barabash of Temperance, MI passed away suddenly on September 21, 2016, while visiting her sister in Charlotte, NC. She was born on September 19, 1957, to the late Walter and Natalie Barabash and was a member of St. Hedwig Church. Marianne graduated from the University of Toledo with a  Masters degree in Social Work and was employed by Rescue Mental Health and Addiction Services for 31 years, she served on the  Executive Council for SEIU 1199 and was instrumental in bringing union representation to Rescue. Marianne was devoted to her profession, she supported and nurtured her clients and colleagues, serving her profession were top priority. She had a kind heart and was willing to help anyone in need. A shining star to all who knew and loved her, like a star in the heavens her light will shine on for her clients, colleagues, friends and family. Along with her parents, Marianne was preceded in death by her siblings, Marie and John; grandparents,  Anthony and Helen Barabash and Aleksander and  Antonina Skitowski. Left behind to cherish her memory are siblings,  Michael, David (Pam)  and Renee (Buddy); nieces and nephews, Theresa (Derek) Tefft, Sara (Dan) Lemmerbrock,  Stacie (Adam) Knight, Jasen, West (Amanda), Shelby; and sister-in-law, Diane  Barabash; great-nieces and nephews, Grace and Grant Tefft, Adam and Trevor Knight, Lydia and Ivy Barabash; several aunts, many cousins, friends and colleagues. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends may call at the Thomas I. Wisniewski  Funeral, 2426 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, from 2-8 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. A celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held in Ss Adalbert & Hedwig Church, 3233 Lagrange St., on Thursday September 29, 2016, at 10 a.m. family and friends may gather at church beginning at 9 a.m. Marianne had a soft spot
Marianne had a soft spot in her heart for lost or abandoned cats, she would take them in and provide food, shelter and vet care, memorial tributes are suggested to Paws and Whiskers, 32 Hillwyck Dr., Toledo, OH 43615.
