Robert J. Wooten went home to be with Jesus and his brother, Michael, after many years of fighting cancer on October 5, 2016. He was born on August 24, 1965, to Edward F. and Sheila (Lammon) Wooten in The Toledo Hospital. From 1984-1988, Rob proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After discharge, he was employed as a diesel mechanic at Overnight Trucking until he could no longer work. Surviving are his mother; brothers, Dave and Ed (Lisa); sons, Robbie and Nolan; Aunt Dean, Aunt Jean, Aunt Joan, and Uncle Bruce; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his special little buddy, Alex Clark. He was preceded in death by his father, Aunt Gloria, Uncle Dick, Uncle John, Uncle Johnny, Uncle Denny and his grandparents. We would like to give a special thank you to his home nurse, John, the cancer floor at Flower Hospital, and the staff and patients at Wildwood Dialysis. Friends will be received from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7 at Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Rd. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5562 Dorr St. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5725 Hill Ave. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a charity of the donor’s choice.
