Sherrie R. (Hirsch) Zaft

Sherrie Hirsch Zaft, age 89, passed away November 2, 2017 at Flower Hospital, Sylvania, OH. She was a graduate of the Toledo College of Education and had worked as a saleswoman in fashion jewelry at Jacobsons Department Store. Sherrie was a Past President and lifelong active member of the Sisterhood at Congregation B'Nai Israel.

Preceded in death by her husband, Morton; parents William and Rose Hirsch and sisters Jean Liber and Thelma Robbins. Surviving are her children, Caren Zaft, Sylvania, OH., Joel (Judy) Zaft, Phoenix, AZ., Jan Stefango, Holland, OH. and Nancy (Stan0 Byrd, Westerville, OH. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and their spouses; seven great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in the close-knit extended family.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday November 3, 2017 in the Robert H. Wick/Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-535-5840). Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, OH.  Shiva visitation will continue Sunday and Monday from 2:00 until 5:30 p.m. with minyan at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Jan Stefango in Holland, OH.
