Welcome to the memorial page for

Ted John Grachek

January 27, 1953 ~ May 2, 2017 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Ted John Grachek, beloved brother, uncle and friend to everyone, was born January 27, 1953, and passed on to his heavenly father May 2, 2017. He was a prolific artist, specializing in graphic wood design, an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia and old advertising items, and a guy with zest for adventure! Ted was a major Central Catholic High School sports enthusiast, who passionately wrote and reported about each CCHS high school football game. He demonstrated a flair for enjoying life to its fullest, always amidst family and friends whenever possible. He created fun meetings and vacation situations to make socializing happen. His “Christmas in July” was a hit with the little ones, and
Art parties were a source of casual fun for all. Ted took the helm of the family business, Tom’s Carry Out on Lagrange Street as a young man, and even refurbished the upstairs, Winterhaven Hall for events. He also was on the original team who made The Lagrange Street Festival an annual event. Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela in 2013; brother, Tom Grachek; and parents, Bernard and Marjorie Grachek. He is survived by his sisters, Vikki Cox (Phil), Margie Munson; and brother, John Grachek (Eva); sister-in law, Karen Grachek; and his treasured neices and nephews. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, May 12, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4255 Bellevue, Toledo, Ohio, with 10:00 a.m. visitation preceding the 11:00 a.m. service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Central Catholic High School Football Program. Thomas I Wisniewski Funeral Home Inc. 419-531-4424.
