Virginia (Swiatecki) Howard

Virginia (Swiatecki) Howard, age 94, of Hassler Spur in Byrdstown, TN and formerly of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Pickett County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Byrdstown, TN. She was born on April 12, 1922, in Toledo to Frank and Stella (Swigon) Swiatecki and lived most of her life in Toledo. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and Emmanuel Catholic Church in Albany, KY. She married John Howard on January 25, 1944, and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1997. Surviving is her daughter, Virginia Mills, Byrdstown, TN, with whom she made her home for the last 13 years,; sons, John Howard, Cookeville, TN and Timothy Howard, Monticello, KY; grandchildren, Marianne (Frank) Moats, Lima, OH., Amy (Mark) Cline, Fostoria, OH, Kelly Thibert, Toledo, Michael Mills, Southgate, MI, Brandy (Steve) Magrum, Temperance, MI and Shawn (Shawn) Howard, Lambertville, MI. Twelve great-grandchildren and great-grandson, Seth Clark also survive. Preceded in death also by her parents; daughter-in-law, Maureen Howard; grandson, Scott Howard; sisters, Louise Lykowski and Helen Klosinski and brothers, Frank, Raymond, Joseph and Sylvester (Gene). The family will receive friends on Friday, September 30 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., 419-531-4424. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Little Flower Catholic Church, where the body will lie in state beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery
