David Lee Kelley

David L. Kelley passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Dave was born April  24, 1948, in Toledo, OH to Betty (Voll) and Quintin R. Kelley. After attending Whitmer High Shool, Dave enlisted in the Marines where he served in Vietnam, was wounded and received two purple hearts for his bravery in service.

Dave was a self-made man; the owner and CEO of Precision Steel, which he started in August 1974 (incorporating in 1978). Still after 44 years, the company stands strong. While Dave's roots were in Toledo, his primary residence was in Palm Beach, FL where Dave and his wife Susie enjoyed deep sea fishing, boating, golfing and enjoying their days in the sun. There was never a dull moment in his life as it was filled with business challenges, adventure, traveling the world, and participating in various gala events. As much as he loved the warmth of the sun, he always said his wife Susie, daughter Erin, and stepson Austin were the stars and moon that completed his world.

Dave is survived by his wife, Susie "Nancy" (Palensar) Kelley, step-son, Austin J. Nowakowski, Esq.; brother, Rick (Eileen) Kelley; sister-in-law, Ann McFarlan (husband, Jeffrey J. Mellman); nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Louis and Bella. Dave's parents, Betty Voll Kelley, and Quintin R. Kelley; his daughter, Erin L. Kelley; brothers, Larry Kelley, Mark Kelley; and sister, Ruth James predecease him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43615. The Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Toledo Humane Society.
