George F. Korn

George F. Korn, age 80 years, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in his home. He was born in Butler, PA on September 25, 1937 to Ernest and Muriel Korn. George served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and had worked as a self employed floor layer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia; brother, Eddie; and triplet grandchildren, Luke, Lily and Lance.

George had many "adopted" family members and many friends including his hunting buddies of 30 years and his friends at Fletchers Fish Camp. He battled Stage 4 prostate cancer for five years. He loved flowers and plants and thought they should be planted, not just displayed in vases. So please plant a flower or tree in his memory.

Surviving is his wife, Donna P. (Komon) Korn and their combined family of children, Tammy (Bart) Deitsch, Tracy (Don) Rist, Cindy (Joe) Kutchenreiter, Cheryl (Jim) Welter, Michelle (Dave) Calopietro, Rose (Herb) Meglitsch, Dan (Kim) Dent, Laurie (Manuel aka Yo) Bartling and P.J. (Eddie) Taylor; his sister, Phyllis Michaels; his brothers, Dick (Evelyn), Merle (Sandy), Dave (Barb), Gary (Karen) and Doug (Jen) Korn; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., (419-531-4424) where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

The family wishes to thank the Hickman Cancer Center staff and George's harems there, as well as Dr. Mobayed and Promedica Hospice.
