Helen Hess, age 87 years, of West Bloomfield, MI and formerly of Toledo, OH and Lauderhill, Florida, died Friday, September 15, 2017 in her home. She was born in Detroit, MI on October 23, 1929 to Samuel and Eva (Shapiro) Malkin. Helen was a member of the Congregation B’Nai Israel, Sylvania, OH. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Klaus H. Hess and loving son, Jeffrey A. Hess as well as her siblings, Rita, Sadie, Louis, Bertha, Max and Harold. Helen was the loving mother of Debi (Gary) Trick and Judy (Ira) Lourie; loving sister of Alvin Malkin and loving grandmother of Adam Trick, Elliot Lourie, Michael Lourie, Samuel Hess and Ava Hess. Services and interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, OH. Arrangements by the Robert H. Wick/ Wisniewski Funeral Home. (419-535-5840).
