Marian "Mary" Durrant

Marian Durrant, age 95, died peacefully surrounded by her family on January 28, 2019 at Ebeid Hospice. She was the eldest of seven children born to Derwood and Leone Reiser in Carleton, MI. She was a 1941 graduate of Carleton High School. Prior to her marriage to John Durrant in 1950 she was employed in the offices of the Health Department in Monroe and Lansing, MI. and Oakland, CA.. She was a longtime member of Little Flower Catholic Church, having done volunteer work in the school library and church office. John and Marian were avid ballroom and western round dancers with Toledo clubs. She later enjoyed line dancing.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John, their infant daughter Elaine and infant son Jerry, her parents, brothers Jim Reiser and Dennis Reiser, sister Barbara Masserant and sisters-in-law Priscilla Reiser and Patricia Reiser-Greer. 

Marian is survived by her loving family, son David (Sharon) Durrant, grandson Eric (Amanda) Durrant, great grandchildren Gavin and Elise Durrant, grandson Brian (Sarah) Durrant, great granddaughter Willow. Son Dennis (Lorrie) Durrant, granddaughters Lindsay Durrant and Lisa (Jon) Snyder. Brothers Jack Reiser, Jerry (Shirley) Reiser, David (Phyllis) Reiser and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends may visit at the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-531-4424) on Sunday February 3, 2019 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Little Flower Catholic Church 5522 Dorr St. Toledo, OH. on Monday February 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., where the family will receive visitors beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Little Flower Catholic Church.

The family of Marian would like to thank the staff of Oakleaf Village, Flower Hospital and Ebeid Hospice for the wonderful care they gave her.
