Marilyn (Reiss) Handler

Marilyn Handler passed away on July 2, 2018 in Delaware, Ohio. She had moved to the Columbus are in her later years to be close to her children and grandchildren. Marilyn moved to Toledo with her husband Stanley in 1951. She had worked in the clothing business as a salesperson at various clothing stores, eventually serving as manager of the Tall Girls Shoppe in Toledo for a number of years. Those who knew Marilyn knew that if you were her friend, she considered you family.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Manny and Nettie Reiss, her husband of 64 years, Stanley and her sister, Sylvia Jurist.

Surviving are her children, Debbie (Handler) Spenthoff and Neal (Maureen) Handler; grandchildren, Jamie Spenthoff, Stefan (Dionne) Spenthoff, Jacquelyn (Aaron) Wright, Erin (Steve) Rife and great grandchildren, Kennedy, Emily, Ethan, Eli and Samuel; nieces, Nina (Hugh) Degnan and Hayley.

Services and interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio.

Memorial donations are suggested to Central Ohio Alzheimer's Association 1379 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH. 43215, or a charity of the donors choice.
