Nancy Lou (Heilbrun) Greenspoon

Nancy Lou Greenspoon, 67, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend to so many, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2017 at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Born on August 2, 1949 to Louis and Vera Heilbrun, Nancy was very involved in the Jewish community, and she carried her love for Jewish culture and tradition with her throughout her life. As a teenager, she met Neil Greenspoon, and after many years of courtship, she finally realized he was the love of her life. Nancy always wanted to be a mother, and until the day she passed, her daughters and granddaughters continued to bring her tremendous happiness. Nothing could give her more joy than cheering on her daughters at swim meets, listening to them play the violin and piano, and watching them dance in the Nutcracker and in Cougarettes. Neil was her true rock, and together they dedicated themselves to raising and caring for their family. Nancy is survived by her husband of nearly 41 years, Neil; their daughters, Lori (Tom) Anger, Julie Greenspoon, and Michelle (Michael) Weeks; her sister Linda Russell; sisters-inlaw, Diane (Jim) Perlman and Sandy Greenspoon; mother-in-law, Lillian (Dave) Perlman, and grandchildren, Maya and Livia Anger. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Vera Heilbrun; aunt and uncle, Margo and Henry Young, and brotherin-law, Raymond Russell. A memorial service will be held at Temple Shomer Emunim in Sylvania, OH on Thursday, May 4 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Pelotonia at www.pelotonia.org or to the American Cancer Society.
