Ronald W. Dossat

Ronald William Dossat, 83, of Toledo, Ohio joined the Lord on Thursday, May 18, with his loving family at his side. He was born July 19, 1933 to the late Sidney and Martha Dossat and was the oldest of 8 children. Ron survived his wife, Patricia Ann, married 53 years. He is survived by his three children, Cindy Klosterman married to Kevin, Danny Dossat, and Peggy Vanderman married to Daniel; brother, Russ (Ann) Dossat; brother-in
law, Jim Kujawa; sister-inlaw, Claudia Dossat; many nieces and nephews and granddogs. Ron’s siblings, Rosalie, Bonnie, Barbara, Ray, Rick and Randy preceded him in death. Ron served our Military and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Ron was, is and will always be so much to so many, but above all Ron was a committed servant to the Lord. He will always be remembered for his strong faith, incredible attitude, his boisterous laugh, great sense of humor and his terrible singing voice. He enjoyed golfing, hiking, camping, and competing in marathons and triathalons. He lived a life of purpose, virtue and dedication to the betterment of those around him. Each and every person with whom he had contact is better for having known him. Ron was friend of Bill W’s for 58 years. His tireless spirit and boundless curiosity for life and adventure took him from Toledo to Alaska on numerous occasions, to seek his roots in Louisiana, to
Peru, Guatemala, India and Europe. His drive, desire and commitment to fitness, powered his legs to run, peddle, and swim his body and soul countless miles training and racing. Ron was a constant reminder that because of faith, spirituality, fellowship, friendship and love of family, the world was a beautiful place, and to embrace every day we are blessed to be given. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-531-4424) where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in Little Flower Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery with Army Funeral Honors.
