SHARON S. (KUNKLE) JOHNSON

Sharon S. Johnson, of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away July 4, 2018 of pancreatic cancer.

Sharon was born April 17, 1941 in Anchorage, AK; her father, Emery Kunkle, worked for the Alaska Railroad. Sharon and her mother, Meredith, moved back to the Toledo area when Sharon was young, but Sharon had fond memories of Alaska.

Sharon worked for The Toledo Hospital as a unit clerk, retiring in May 1993. It was there that she met the love of her life, David M. Johnson, and they married in 1963. David was ill most of his life, and Sharon happily cared for him until his death in 2003.

Sharon is survived by her son, Douglas (Lisa), and her grandson Gabriel.

There will be a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery on Saturday, July 7 at noon. If you wish to attend, please meet at the main entrance.
