Shirlie Ann Vick
Shirlie Ann Vick, age 93, of Sylvania died peacefully surrounded by her children on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born in Toledo on September 13, 1924 to William and Caroline (Joehlin) Phillips. Shirlie was a graduate of Clay High School and worked in the credit department of Sears Roebuck for over thirty years, retiring in 1982. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl M. Vick; her sister, Mary Jane Mutchler and brothers, Russell and Jeremiah Phillips.
Shirlie enjoyed boating and fishing with Carl and their longtime friends at Locust Point. After Carl's death, she loved traveling and taking day trips with her daughters. During her later years, she moved to Mayberry Village where she enjoyed cards and bingo and attended monthly "Mystery Luncheons".
Surviving are her children, Linda (David) Sitlava, Martin (Barbara) Vick, and Nancy (Brian) Sniegocki; grandchildren, Roxanne Clark, Matthew (Lisa) Vick and David (Kristen) Vick; and great-grandchildren, Anthony, Brett, Ryan, Owen, Leah and Griffin.
Friends will be received on Sunday, July 15 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-531-4424), where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
