Thomas J. Behrle

Thomas J. Behrle, age 90, of Sylvania, OH passed away peacefully June 29, 2017 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born March 9, 1927, Chicago IL, the son of Raymond and Helen (Nebert) Behrle. He is preceded in death by his parents, four siblings and son Eric Behrle. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving on the USS Okanogan (APA 220) as a Watertender. He enjoyed a career in fire and casualty insurance as owner and operator of Behrle and Associates Insurance Agency. He was a member of VFW Post 2898, American Legion Post
0468 and Sylvania Moose Lodge 1579. He is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Kidd, her sons Douglas Kidd, David (Donna) Kidd, Richard Kidd, Steven Kidd and grandchildren Miles, Steven and William. He is father of Dr. Kevin (Karen) Behrle and Karen (Michael) Sobecki. He is Grandpa of Dr. Andrew (Dr. Natalie) Behrle, Catherine (Daniel) Perry, Kristen Behrle, Christopher (Michele) Sobecki, Adam (Laurie) Sobecki, Paul (Leanna) Sobecki, Brian Behrle and Amy (Stephen) Recknagel. He is great grandfather of 10. Family will receive friends Saturday July 8, at St. Joseph’s Parish, Sylvania from 9-10 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Toledo Memorial Park to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom’s name can be made to ProMedica Toledo Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Program.
