Alan L. Blumberg

Alan L. Blumberg passed away at age 82 on December 20, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father Dave Blumberg, mother Rosalind Blumberg, sister Alix Greenblatt, and great-nephew Jonah Greenblatt. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Mike (Michele) Blumberg; brother-in-law Dick Greenblatt; niece Dana Greenblatt; nephew and niece Mark and Denise Greenblatt and great nephews Cayden and Max; uncle Salvatore Grande; brother and sister-in-law Philip and Bonnie Grande; niece and nephew Joanne and Gary Grant and great-niece and nephew Sarah and Ryan; niece and nephew Candy and Marc Plateau; and many dear cousins.

Al graduated from DeVilbiss High School and attended the University of Toledo. He spent over fifty years working in the jewelry industry, including his own business, The Diamond Corner. Al and Mike enjoyed traveling to (mostly) tropical locations, as well as Las Vegas, where Al's wonderful card sense was put to excellent use. With his incorrigible sense of humor and love of telling stories, Al maintained close contacts with friends throughout the years even as he moved from Toledo to Chicago to Pittsburgh.

Funeral services will be held virtually on Tuesday December 22, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Congregation B'Nai Israel or a charity of the donors choice.
