Bonnie Rose (Schulman) Ross Obituary

Bonnie Rose (Schulman) Ross peacefully passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 with her family at her side at 86 years of age, in Reading Pennsylvania.  Bonnie had a lively childhood with friendships that lasted a lifetime.  Bonnie had many roles including daughter, sister, niece, spouse, mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend.  She had a magnetic presence, known and loved by all as Bonnie, Bon Bon or as everyone’s “Aunt Bonnie”.  She touched so many lives, leaving a lasting impression.

Bonnie enjoyed acting in plays, musicals, loved music, traveling and especially singing.  Bonnie was competitive in games including bridge, Mah Jong or playing Rummykub with her brother Harry, grandchildren and anyone willing to sit down at the table with her.

Her personality was infectious and everyone who met her wanted to share a part of her world.  She felt truly blessed to share her life with so many family members, friends and acquaintances, no one was a stranger to Bonnie.  We will all miss her radiating energy.

Bonnie had multiple medical conditions which she fought through with remarkable bravery and dignity.  In the end, she did not have any reserve left to continue the fight. Special thanks to her medical team in Toledo Ohio and Reading Pennsylvania who contributed to a better quality of life for Ms. Bonnie.  With grace and peace in her passing, she did not want anyone to be sad, but to celebrate her life, make good decisions and just be happy.

Married to the love of her life Edward T. Ross, preceded in death in 2002.  Also preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Sarah Schulman, siblings Meyer, Max, Nate, Albert, Hilda and Harry.  Survived by her children Chaya Rivka (Chaim) Lapkin, Michelle (Kevin) Ressel, Julie Avenarius.  Niece and honorary daughter Nancy (Mark) Reardon.  Step-children David (Rhonda) Ross, Steven (D.) Laura Ross and Debbie Ross. Grandchildren Eliyahu Yifrach, Miriam Yifrach, Rachel Ressel, Rebecca Ressel, Willem Avenarius, Jason Avenarius, Sarah Avenarius.  Honorary grandchildren Sara (Steve) Schairbaum, Rachel (Jeff) Teubl, Michelle (Andrew) Geise.  Step-grandchildren Jessica, Danny, Christina and Alex Ross.
