Carole A. (Roberts) Berning

Carole A. Berning, age 86, died Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Kingston Rehabilitation & Care Center of Sylvania after a short stay there. Carole was anticipating returning to her home of six years with her daughter Lisa and son-in-law Eric Meglitsch. She was born on November 2, 1934 in Toledo to Wilfred and Eunice (Klink) Roberts. Carole was a talented seamstress and loved to crochet. She and her husband, Charles, were longtime members of the Elks Lodge of Maumee.

Surviving are her daughters, Lisa (Eric) Meglitsch, Sharlene Ramsey and Darlene (Rob) Raymond; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; special niece, Teri Fry; and special grandaughter, Anna Quigley; also dear friends, Rose and Bonnie who were close to Carole these last few years. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband Charles; brother, Bill Roberts; sister, Ruth Thomas; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday June 21, 2021 in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH. 43615 where the family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Interment Toledo Memorial Park.
