Carolyn A. (Schleter) Metzger

Carolyn A. Metzger passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born to Joseph and Cecilia Schleter on July 27, 1939. 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jack. She is survived by their children Jacqueline Loar, Jennifer (Eric) Moening, Dianna Metzger, Anthony (Lori) Metzger, Nicholas (Karrie) Metzger, Thomas (Dawn) Metzger, and Jessica Metzger (Tim) and her son Robert Soldner. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, sister Janet Feasel, and brothers Edward, Larry, Joseph, and Fred. 

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister Joan Diekman, Robert Schleter, and Jim Schleter. 

Carolyn was an amazing mom who enjoyed reading and a love of history which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her love of travel was shared with Jack and her children. Carolyn nurtured good values in her children and encouraged their passions. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren including having tea parties and going to the park. 

The family will receive friends on Friday September 29, 2023 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH. 43615. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 30, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 6149 Hill Ave. Toledo, OH. 43615 at 10:30 a.m. where the family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 a.m. that morning. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
