Christina A. (Skowronek) Wisniewski

Christina A. (Skowronek) Wisniewski, age 91, of Toledo, went to her reward peacefully Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Ebeid Hospice Residence. She was born July 9, 1927 in Toledo to the late Michael and Frances (Gajewski) Skowronek. Christina was a loyal and caring wife, mother, Busia, Babcia, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an active, lifelong, faithful member of the Saints Adalbert and Hedwig Parish community. She holds a special place in everyone's hearts and will be greatly missed. Ja cie kocham!

Christina was united in marriage to Ralph L. Wisniewski on August 29, 1951. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1987. Also preceding her in death was her son, Gregory Wisniewski; son-in-law, Peter Gleave; sister, Mary Zychowicz; brothers, Ollie, Joseph, Raymond, Isadore, Stanley, and Walter.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Anne Marie (Mark) Swiergosz, Connie Gleave, and Julie (Chris) Scherer; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Jeanette) Swiergosz, Christine (Steve) Dempsey, Jade (Adam) Blackford, Stephen (Sara) Swiergosz, Angela (Adam) Pugacz, Mary Beth Scherer, Joshua (Lindsay Jost) Gleave, Laura (Ryan) Smolinski. 14 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Noah, Jack, Avery, Evan, Cora, Rachel, Laine, Owen, Mallory, Austin, Ava, Sadie Claire, and Chloe; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Skowronek, Loretta Skowronek; and many special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43615 (419-531-4424) on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. The mass of resurrection will be Saturday, September 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Adalbert and Hedwig Parish, 3233 Lagrange St., Toledo, OH 43608. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
