Connie Sue (Ford) Bucher

Connie Sue Bucher of Holland, Ohio peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 6, 2024.  Connie was born to Cecil and Betty Ford on September 20, 1951 and lived in Northwest Ohio her entire life.  She married her high school sweetheart, Jack Bucher, on July 27, 1968.  Until Jack’s death in 2019, they remained side by side, loving each other, raising their three boys, and enjoying life together. 

Connie’s family was the light of her life and she was a fixture in the stands of her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.  She also had a great group of friends and loved traveling and playing cards with them.  One of her greatest joys and honors was serving as the office manager at law firm Spengler Nathanson in downtown Toledo for over a decade.  Partners there said there was never a member of the firm more beloved, describing her as a loyal friend and trusted counselor.  

Connie loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and shared her faith with everyone she could.  She was very active and built lifelong relationships at Epiphany Lutheran Church. 

Connie had many titles throughout her life.  It did not matter whether you called her mom, grandma, friend, or colleague, she made you feel special, showed love, and was your best friend.  No matter what circle she was in, her motherly touch was obvious.  Everyone she encountered benefitted from the generous sharing of her experience, wisdom, and advice.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Betty Ford, her father-in-law Marvin Bucher, and her loving husband Jack.  She is survived by her mother-in-law Lois Heyman, sister Joyce (Tim) Haskins, her sons Robert (Kathi), Kevin (Heather), and Jeffery (Sarah) Bucher, her grandchildren Jaden, Lincoln, Reagan Bucher, Audra (Tyler) Benschoter, Miranda Douglas, Joseph (Hannah) Hansen, Hannah McOwen, Connor Zaborowski, great-grandchildren Lane, Loften, Lowen Benschoter, Elliana Douglas, Emma, Laura, Madilynn Hansen.  She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be Friday the 10th of May from 3:00 until 8:00 pm at the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, Ohio.  A celebration of life and memorial service will be held on Saturday the 11th of May at 11:00 am at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 915 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, Ohio.
