We are sad to announce the passing of Cory Alan Berndt. He passed away at the age of twenty-one on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from a tragic ATV accident. Cory was a 2020 Springfield High School graduate through Penta Career Center. Cory worked for B an K Construction and recently started his own business, C&S (Cory & Steve) Home Improvement, accredited by the Better Business Bureau, which was really starting to take off and bring more independence and stability to his life. Always up for an adventure, Cory had his first dirt bike at age four and just wouldn't stop. He loved his toys and it all built from there. His beloved Pontiac Firebird - that's another story. Of course, Cory's love and support of his parent's goes without saying - this family was a team. Cory would constantly tell his mother and father he loved them, and they spent a lot of time working and playing together. And Abby, his sweet, beautiful high school sweetheart. It was love at first sight, they just celebrated three years of being together. Cory and Abby had big plans for the future. And, then there is Bailey, Cory's two and a half year old German Shepherd-his best friend! Cory was a bright shining light with an enduring personality and loving smile, always supportive of his family and friends, always being there with his positive attitude and loving support - he will be dearly and forever missed…
Survived by loving parents, Stephen Alan Berndt and Jodi Robyn Berndt; Mark Orland Fall, brother; and Abigail Click, girlfriend.
Preceded in death by his beloved Grammie, Lula Virginia Berndt; and many more family and friends…
