David J. Pojedynski

David J. Pojedynski, age 71 years, passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2026 at his home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 17, 1955 to Virginia P. (Borysiak) and John Pojedynski. 
David started his working career as an elementary teacher at St. Adalbert Catholic School. He had various jobs that followed including working at the Toledo Club and Michelin Tires. For the last number of years David was a dedicated and hard working employee for Walgreens at their distribution center in Perrysburg, Ohio. 
David was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes teams and the Detroit Tigers. He enjoyed history, was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Westerns on television. He was a man of deep faith and was very family oriented.
We was preceded in death by his parents and longtime companion Irene Zunkiewicz.
Surviving are his siblings, Diane Pojedynski, twin brother Dale (Karen) Pojedynski and Sandy (Paul) Mocek. Also surviving are his nephews, Matthew (Kim Woggerman) Mocek and Andrew (Katherine) Mocek and great nephew William Mocek.
The family will receive friends on Thursday May 14, 2026 from 3:00 until 7:00 pm in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH. 43615 where a eulogy and prayer service will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday May 15, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 6149 Hill Ave. Toledo, OH. 43615 where the family will receive guests beginning at 11:00 a.m. that morning. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
