Dorothy D. (Parody) Hunt

Dolores Hunt, 91, of Toledo, OH, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, in her home and surrounded by her family. She was born March 18, 1932, in Gibraltar, to Arturo and Maria Parody. She met the love of her life, Fred Hunt, in Gibraltar, and the two were married in 1953. They moved with their daughters to the United States in 1966. Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Fred; son-in-law, Mark Thees; and seven brothers and sisters. 

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Lynda (Larry) Riggs, Elizabeth Thees; grandchildren, Brad (Lisa Burke) Riggs, Jackie (Adrienne Gregory) Riggs, Alexandra (Greg DeMartini) Crow, Samantha Crow, Taylor and Jamie Thees; great grandchildren, Indi and Bodhi Riggs, Cooper, Camden, and Crosby Gregory, Ash DeMartini; and step-great-grandsons, Jack and Ben Burke. Also surviving are three siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews in Gibraltar. 

Visitation will be on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Wisniewski & Wick Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Road. from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., with service to follow. Entombment will be at Toledo Memorial Park. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of NW Ohio. 

The family wishes to thank Hospice of NW Ohio for the kind and compassionate care they provided Dolores in her final months.
