It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward L. "Butch" Pietras, Jr. on February 4, 2026 at the age of 63 in Hospice of NW Ohio. A beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Butch left us too soon but leaves behind a legacy of kindness and laughter. Born on February 25, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio to Edward L., Sr. and Shirley Pietras. He grew up with a passion for bowling and was family dedicated.

As a devoted son, he was a pillar of strength to his parents, Ed and Shirley. A cherished brother to Michele. He was a a constant  source of friendship to his niece and nephew, Ben and Nikki. Butch was the "fun uncle" who never missed a holiday or celebration, especially those involving prime rib and an ice cold beer. 

His sustained career at Lott Industries and participation in Special Olympics were marked by his one-of-a-kind character - always being the life of the party. Butch was loved by many and will be forgotten by none.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward L.,Sr. and Shirley Pietras. . Surviving are his sisters  Debby and Michele (Ben), nephews and niece. 

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Butch will be held at a later date this Spring.
