Richard Freed died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at the age of 87. He was born on May 1, 1933, in New York City and was raised in Springfield, Ohio. Richard graduated from Springfield High School and attended Wittenberg University and The Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 - 1955 and was honorably discharged after serving in Japan and Korea.
Richard was employed by the City of Toledo Economic Development department from 1968 until 2003. He worked as a Walmart greeter from 2003 until 2013. He also delivered Mobile Meals for approximately five years as a volunteer.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Mindy, Linda and Debbie; and his first wife, Audrey.
Surviving is his son, Gary (Jamie) of Dublin, OH; two grandchildren, Addison and Maysen; brother, Leonard (Susan) of Cleveland, OH; and wife, Fannette Terman and her three children; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren who welcomed Richard into their lives.
