Frederick D. Cohn passed away on January 13, 2021 at the age og 89 years. He was born on May 3, 1931 to parents, jay and Martha (Lefkowitz) Cohn and was raised in Monroe, MI. and Grand View Beach on Lake Erie. Mr. Cohn was confirmed at the former Collingwood Temple in Toledo. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1949, University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1953 (fraternity Pi Lambda Phi) and Detroit College of Law in 1956.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and niece, Jean Gordon of Toledo, Morton Cohn Sr., Monroe, MI.; Dorothy Casler of Newton, MA. and Randy Goldman of Washington, D.C. Surviving is his long-term partner, Prosser (Mike) Watts, children Karen Cohn (Teri Gruenwald) of Oakland, CA. and Thomas Cohn (Gregory Deligdisch) of New York City, N.Y.; grandsons Rafael and Simon Cohn-Gruenwald; as well as five nieces and nephews; and his loving caregiver, Lisa Cunningham. Mr. Cohn had been married twenty years to the late Judy (Brone) Mainwold, with whom he raised teir children and started his art business, Images Gallery, in Ottawa Hills Shopping Center in the 1970's.
No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Jewish Family Service of Greater Toledo.
