Gerald W. Wells

Gerald William Wells, 84 years old, went to be with his Heavenly Father on January 22, 2023, surrounded by his family. Gerald worked in housekeeping at Mercy Hospital for 31 years. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine (Meinen) Wells, son, Francis and daughter Julie Yeager, two grandchildren and brothers Jack Wells and Joe Scroggs. 

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Summers, Tim (Tonia) Wells and Sue (Larry) Knehr; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; sister Teresa Gilmore, brother Mark Wells, stepmother Kathy Wells and companion of 15 years, Patricia Filiere. 

Friends may call on Saturday February 11, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (between Central and Bancroft) followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Final resting place at the Mater Dei Mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts be directed to Bridge Home Health and Hospice at Wood County Hospital.
