Harriette "Henny" Black passed away on Monday evening, May 9, 2022 at the age of 72. She was born in Toledo on September 4, 1949 to Philip and Ann S. (Bletterman) Black. She did library work at the Congregation B'Nai Israel for many years and also did volunteer work with WGTE in their music library as well as volunteer work with ABLE. She was a longtime member of the Congregation Etz Chayim and it's Sisterhood.
Surviving is her sister, Joan "Yona" Black of Montpelier, VT; dear cousins, Louis (Rochelle) Black and their children, David, Gina and Ben (Alanna) Black; and cousin, Debra (Bletterman) Marks; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, OH. Shiva will be observed in Montpelier, VT. when Joan returns home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Congregation Etz Chayim, Hospice of NW Ohio or Jewish Family Service of Greater Toledo.
