Harvey Grossman, age 85, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, in his home. He was born in Warren, Ohio, on November 8, 1936, to Samuel and Molly Ruth (Gordon) Grossman. Harvey was with the former Gray Drug Stores for 32 years retiring as a Manager of their Franklin Park Store and subsequently went on to a career of 15 years as a manger for Phantom Fireworks, retiring in 2000.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Harvey was also an avid bowler with B'Nai Brith for over 40 years, enjoyed golfing, playing cards, especially poker and going out to eat with family and friends.
Surviving is his wife, Marcia R. (Jaffe) Grossman; children, Jeremy, Carrie and Daniel (Cortney) Grossman; brothers, Norm, Phil and Barry (Denise) Grossman; sister, Pam Grossman; eight grandsons, Jarred, Jason, Justin, Jesse, Jacob, Joseph, Tyler and Brandon; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Also surviving is Harvey's former wife, Nadene Tisone; and members of Marcia's family including her children, Sharon Ackerman, Rachel Weinberg and A. David Eiser; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services and interment will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio. There will be a private shiva meal only following the service.
Marcia will be sitting shiva and receiving guests at her home, 3524 Kenwood Blvd., on Thursday afternoon from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. with a mincha service at her home at 4:30 p.m. Guests are also welcome to pay respects on Friday, February 25th, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Grossman residence.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at 1620 Brooklyn Park, Toledo, OH. 43615
Memorial donations are encouraged in lieu of flowers to the charity of the donors choice.
