Helen M. (Curtas) Bordner

Helen Mary Bordner, age 90, passed away on December 3, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Bowling Green, Ohio. She was born on July 3, 1930 in Toledo to Paul and Susan (Marusz) Curtas. Helen was a graduate of St. Thomas Elementary in the East Side and graduated from Waite High School in 1948.

She married John E. Bordner on November 17, 1956 and had worked as a secretary for Plaskon and Owens Illinois until their family came along. From 1962 until 2018 Helen assisted her husband as founders and owners of Architectural Arts (Digimatics, Inc.). Along with John, she was a lifetime member of Little Flower Catholic Church, and her faith and family always were very important to her.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband John; son-in-laws, Jeffrey Berger, Patrick Tansey and John Fischbach; as well as brothers, Paul and John Curtas; and sister, Mary Affeldt.

Surviving are her children, Joan Berger, Carol (Mark) Kennedy, Linda Tansey, Elaine Fischbach and Thomas (Renee) Bordner. Fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr St. Toledo, OH. 43615. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
