Herbert N. "Herb" Frankel 

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Herbert N. "Herb" Frankel. Herb passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2023, after his 7 year battle with Parkinson and dementia. Herb was born in Cincinnati in 1940 and lived 83 years. 

Herb; husband to Arlene (pre-deceased), is survived by his son, David (Christine); and sister, Sally (Milton) Stein; and beloved partner, Angela. 

Herb (AKA Herbie) was a devoted family man, never missing a single little league game that David played. He endlessly loved and supported his wife Arlene through many life challenges and kept her life force in his heart forever. For his mom, Florence who lived to be 101, he was a driver to appointments, creator of social events for friends, cook and caregiver. 

Herb was a gentleman, abundantly kind and calm. He was a loving person that always enjoyed some mischief! We lived, we loved, we laughed. We are ever blessed to have had Herb touch our lives. 

Our special thanks to the Alois Alzheimer's Centre, where Herb spent his last year. A place where despite the challenges, created an environment of caring and dignity for him. 

Grave side services will be held at Beth Shalom, Oregon, OH, on Thursday, October 19th, at 12pm. 

Herb's spirit is within us to carry on his good work. Rest in Peace dear Herb.
