Ida Miriam (Rosenberg) Manoff Obituary

Ida Miriam Manoff passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday September 13, 2025.
Ida was born in Toledo, Ohio May 24, 1936 to Morris and Mollie Rosenberg.  She was a proud graduate of Scott High School and continued her education at Whitney Vocational in the Medical Assistant program.  Ida then worked as a medical assistant for her Uncle Sam Korman in his Podiatry practice.
After marrying the love of her life, Melvin Manoff , November 25, 1956, she stayed at home and raised their 4 children.
She was gifted with artistic abilities that helped her craft numerous art projects for her children,  and enjoyed making all of their Halloween costumes.  She also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for her sons.
Ida and Mel enjoyed bowling in the B’nai B’rith league and enjoyed going to dinner and dancing with their group of friends.  She was very quick witted and loved a good joke.
In 1982, Ida and Mel moved to Torrance, California and later to Las Vegas to pursue new business opportunities.  She worked fulltime as Manager of the Video Rental Department at the Federated Electronic store and later as a Sales Rep for Vitamin supplements.
After 38 years she wanted to move back to Toledo to be closer to family and friends.  She enjoyed going to the casino in Las Vegas, California and more recently Toledo, where she was very lucky at times.
She is survived by her loving husband Melvin Manoff, of 69 years.  Daughter Nancy Slifko(Dan), Son Howard Manoff(Lynn), Daughter Sheila Gibson(Jeff), Son David Manoff, Brother Sanford Rosenberg, Grandchildren Lori Manoff(Kevin), Matthew Manoff(Jessica) and Brian Manoff.  And 5 great grandchildren.
Preceded in  death by her Father and Mother, Morris and Mollie Rosenberg  and her brother Harvey Rosenberg.
Her laughter, love and kindness, will last in all of our hearts and memories forever.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in the Robert H. WICK/Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH. 43615. Interment will follow at Eagle Point Cemetery in Rossford, Ohio.
