Ira M. Weisman, age 95 of Toledo passed away June 16, 2023. Graduated from Scott High School and the University of Toledo. Belonged to the Toledo Jazz Society and Bnai Israel Synagogue. Ira was a true entrepreneur owning several businesses including Northwestern Window and Door and Aluma Products. He loved selling windows and could talk about sales calls for hours. Ira played the saxophone, was an amazing dancer, loved jazz music, poker, a good steak, and bagels.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Weisman; parents, Ben and Sylvia Weisman; parents-in-law, Philip and Pauline Hening; sister, Alice Weisman; sister-in-law, Elaine (William) Flaum and sister-in-law, Ervine (Dr Sheldon) Frankel. Survived by sons, Stephen (Karen), David Weisman, and daughter, Jan (Brad) Dolgin; beloved sister-in-law, Joanne (Stuart) Silverman; grandchildren, Josh, (Gina) and Danny (Carole) Dolgin, Brandon and Brittany Weisman, Carly (Daniel Galindo), Jordan (Cathy Skutch McDonald) and Samantha (Dr. Aaron Delman), Weisman; great grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews.
Graveside service 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 21 at Beth Shalom Cemetery, 420 Otter Creek Drive, Oregon, Ohio with Rabbi Robert Dobrusin officiating. Much thanks to Charter Nursing Home and Northwest Ohio Hospice. In lieu of flowers contributions preferred to Congregation Bnai Israel, Congregation Temple Shomer Emunim, or the Toledo Jazz Society. Immediately following the service, family will be receiving condolences with lunch at Temple Shomer Emunim, 6453 W. Sylvania Avenue, Sylvania, Ohio by 3:30 pm.
