James John Cherry Obituary

James John Cherry a Carpenter and resident of Toledo, OH. passed away in his home Saturday August 14th 2021. 

 

James is preceded in death by his Wife Laura R, Parents Edwin & Ramona, and Sisters Mary Lou Keefer and Rosie Gruelich. He is survived by his sons James W. (Stephannie) Joseph L. (Karen), Daughter Jennifer H. Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. 

 

James is a veteran of the U.S. Army 1951 - 1953, he served as an Anti Aircraft Artillery Man at Fort Monroe VA. After discharge he worked as a Carpenter at several locations in AZ and Ohio, finally retiring with Ruch Construction in 1994.

 

James loved to fish and drink coffee and play with his grandchildren and grand dogs. His passion for tinkering around in his garage has produced several keepsakes that family and friends will always cherish.

The family will receive friends on Thursday August 19, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
