Janet C. (Konz) Pollauf

Janet C (Konz) Pollauf, loving mother and friend, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at home. She was 77, born July 31, 1941 to the late Leo and Fern Konz. She attended Mercy College graduating with her Licensed Practical Nurse degree, adding her medication certificate later in her career. She married Arnold Pollauf November 4, 1963 and they enjoyed 44 years of marriage before his passing in 2007.

Janet was devoted to her family and her greatest joy was when they were around. She was an avid card player and loved to travel, especially to Florida. She was a devoted servant of the Lord who was a longtime parishioner of Little Flower Catholic Church. She volunteered for almost anything there, including but not limited to Altar Rosary Society and St. Vincent dePaul.

She was a consummate caretaker, working thirty plus years at St. Vincent's Medical Center.

She is survived and was constantly surrounded by her loving family of children, Mary Beth (Doug) Russ, Mark (Tiffany), Tony (Mary), and George. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, Justin, Lindzey, Dakota, Megan, Andrew, Zacary, Derek, Madison, Macey, Mitchell, Elle, Dante, John, Sincere and Taylar and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; siblings, Jean Gallup, Leo and Gerald Konz. Survived by siblings, Evelyn Clark, Clayton (Joann) Konz, Orvel (Elaine) Konz, Carol Groenleer and Tom (Amy) Konz; loving sisters-in-law, Gladys Wilky and Sally Konz.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from noon to 8 p.m. at the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-531-4424). Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 8 at 11 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church with short visitation at funeral home at 10:30 am. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
