Janis (Greene) Weaver

On September 25, 2022, Janis (Greene) Weaver, passed away at the age of 74. Janis was born on January 25, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio, to Ben and Sue (Dorf) Greene. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1966 and then attended the University of Toledo. She enjoyed working at Haughton Elevator in the Accounts Payable Department until forced to retire on disability when diagnosed with a very uncommon disease. She would much later return to the workforce, working as a secretary and then an insurance service accountant. She married Robert D. Weaver on March 27, 1982, and he preceded her in death on September 18, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Jan loved murder mysteries, live music concerts and movies. She enjoyed playing Mah-Jongg with her friends. But she especially loved cruising the Caribbean. She was a member of the Temple Shomer Emunim for many years.

Surviving is her brother, Terry (Diane) Greene; sister-in-law, Janet Smith; brother-in-laws, James (Susan) Weaver and Richard (Patricia) Weaver; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Robert H. Wick/Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43615, where friends will be received beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
