Jay A. Linver
Jay A. Linver of Toledo passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was born in Toledo on February 17, 1960, to Charles and Alice Linver. He met the love of his life, Eva Beauregard, in 1987 and after a fun-filled courtship, married her on November 16, 1991.
As a teenager, Jay loved dirt bikes and muscle cars. He began working for his dad at Central Auto Parts, which helped support his hobby. He eventually became a truck driver and started working for United Parcel Service (UPS) as a feeder driver in 1999. He loved being on the open road and making friends wherever he went. He truly made some great friends along the way.
Jay loved taking family vacations. You would’ve thought that with all of the driving that he did for work, that he would want to take a break and fly somewhere. But no, not him. NO AIRPLANES ALLOWED! He loved spending time with family and attended several concerts with the girls. When the girls were little, if he wasn’t at a dance recital, a softball game, or a track meet, he loved to just hang out with his kiddos. He loved to hang out with his grandchildren.
For the past several years, Jay enjoyed camping with a group of friends, who refer to themselves as the Turtle Family. He felt a certain freedom in the outdoors. This past summer, Jay was able to check off “the biggest fish he ever caught” from his bucket list. He had so much fun doing it. He enjoyed his time with friends at dance parties and he particularly enjoyed getting dressed up for the Halloween parties.
Jay was a huge Michigan fan and never left the house without his maize and blue hat on his head. Go Blue! The Cleveland Browns also lost a diehard fan and we all know that they cannot afford to lose many more.
Jay is survived by his loving wife; his sister, Laurie Sheahan, his three children, Amber Moore, Emily (Derrick) Davis and Haley Linver; his two grandchildren, Morgan and Beau Swearingen; and his two grandpuppies, Bronx and Nyla. He is also survived by his extensive in-law family to include, Edward (Jey) Beauregard, Rosalind (Earl) Christen, Mary Ellen (Eric) Gordon, Rose (Johnnie) Bryce, Jess (Monica) Beauregard, Louise Beauregard, Kathy Brewer and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Thomas Sheahan; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Rose Beauregard.
A memorial service will be held at Wisniewski & Wick Funeral Home on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00a.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 10a.m.
