Jennifer Marie Minnick Obituary

Jennifer Marie Minnick, daughter of Timothy and Ann Marie (Herr) Minnick was born on January 5, 1979, in Toledo, Ohio, and passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, in Perrysburg, Ohio. Raised in Waterville, Ohio, Jen brought light and joy to all who knew her. Jen was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met.

A proud 1997 graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Jen excelled as an athlete, playing soccer and running track.  Her love for sports extended into her adult life as "Coach Jen," where she dedicated countless hours to coaching the St. Joseph Carpenters. Whether on the basketball court, softball diamond, volleyball court, or at track meets—especially mentoring high jumpers—Jen’s encouragement and unwavering support left a lasting impact on her athletes. She was a beacon of positivity and inspiration to children and families alike.

Jen began her medical career as a unit clerk in the emergency room at St. Luke's Hospital before earning her nuclear medicine degree. As a nuclear medicine technologist, she was known for her kindness, patience, and compassion toward her patients, offering them comfort and humor to get through times.

Jen’s life was filled with joy and a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty, especially sunrises. Her infectious enthusiasm for life touched everyone around her.

She is survived by her beloved children Elan, Alivia, and Genevieve; her father Timothy (Barb) Minnick; her siblings Travis Minnick, Marissa (Bill) Minnick-Metcalf, and Maria (Jacob) Minnick-Galati; and her nieces and nephews Tess, Betsey, Teddy, Annie, Kealah, Zeeke, and Cubby. Cherishing her memory is her boyfriend Jeremy Hayden and his daughters Alyssa and Aubrey. Jen was welcomed into heaven by her mother Ann Marie (Herr) Minnick, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and other cherished loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 N. Reynolds Rd.
