John M. Mowrey, age 73, passed away on Monday August 23, 2021 at Flower Hospital. He was born in Toledo on April 12, 1948 to James and Isabelle (Chinni) Mowrey. John was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a garage door installer for 46 years in the Toledo area. He subsequently worked for 6 years for FedEx at the airport as a sorter and unloader.

Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Mary N. (Williams) Mowrey; son, Michael Mowrey; son-in-law, Ray Gonia; brother, James (Nikki) Mowrey; and sisters, Dawn, Laurie and Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Beverly.

The family will receive friends on Friday August 27, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH. where services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
