Joshua Joel Weymers Obituary


Joshua Joel Weymers passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2021. Joshua was born on August 25 1988 in Beaver Falls, PA.

Joshua was a infantryman serving in the Army between 2006-2011, where he deployed to operation Enduring Freedom with Charlie Co. 3/509th parachute infantry Battalion.

He was an active member in the community participating in local charity work and was a proud member of McCord Road Church. He also ventured out of the country doing missionary work installing local water supply to Third World countries such as Honduras. Josh had a passion for cooking and hosting for friends and family in his home. His specialties were steak and chicken marsala. He was inspired by art in general, always searching local consignment shops for hidden treasures. He spent most of his time enjoying nature with his best friend and service dog Dallas. Joshua enjoyed photography, he had a passion about taking pictures of nature while adventuring local parks and everywhere he had been around the world.

Joshua had five loves in his life, God, his family, his fiancé Sarah, his service dog Dallas and his brothers he served with in the army. He also had a deep appreciation for music and loved to sing. He always said it's " Wyme Time !" and "It's my time to shine! "Joshua was such a strong willed and kind loving spirit. He was a light to so many lives and will be dearly missed. 

He leaves behind his four sisters, Amber (Joel) George, Amanda (Garrett) Palmer, Abigail (Cody) Powell and Audrey Weymers; nieces and nephews, Buddy, Owen, Cora, Reagan and Rowen; stepfather, Steven Valent; father, Arthur William Weymers; many cousins including, Rick Ruffner and Jimmy Martin; aunts and uncles, Tami, Terry, Kelly, Crystal, Timmy, Jim and Tom; grandparents, Arthur W. Weymers, Sr., Janet Lash, Norma and Stephen Valent; and service dog, Dallas. Preceded in death by mother, Tina Lynn Valent; great-grandmother, Velma Anderton; and pappy, Shorty; uncle, Rick Ruffner; and fiancé, Sarah Beth Adler.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH. where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment services will be held on Saturday, April 3 with military honors at Toledo Memorial Park at 10:30 a.m.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
