Judy Maxine (Fietz) Zientek, age 74, died peacefully Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Goerlich Center in Sylvania, OH, after a long struggle with dementia. Judy was born in Toledo, February 8, 1947, to Kenneth and Juanita (Miller) Fietz. She was a 1965 graduate of Scott High School. After starting her family, she went on to work at Riverside Hospital, where she forged many lifelong friends, eventually retiring from Mercy Health Partners after more than 30 years. Judy loved entertaining and being with family and friends, she helped to organize many events and was always willing to lend a hand. Holidays and dinners were always special at her house, she had a way of making everyone feel welcome. She was always the lady with the camera, taking pictures of everything. She baked beautiful cakes for weddings and birthdays, loved to travel and see the United States and had a special fondness for summers at Round Lake. She was an amazing and devoted single mother, taking her children on many vacations throughout the years. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Patricia Fietz, Shirley (John) Stanko; brother, Richard Fietz (Jolyn); children, Pamela (Mark) Perkins and Brian (Korrie) Zientek; grandchildren, Christopher (Misty) Wood, Jeremy Zientek and Brittany Biggs; great-grandchildren, Connor, Travis, Aubree, and Emilee; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she adored. Judy will forever be missed.
