Kathryn "Kate" Wagner

Kathryn "Kate" Wagner, 77, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Elizabeth Scott Community, on December 30, 2021. Kate was born in Toledo, Ohio, on April 30, 1944 to Donald and Mary Timiney. Kate worked at the University of Toledo Federal Credit Union for 38 years retiring in 2010. She loved her family, friends, kids and especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved playing games on her Ipad and Wii. She could talk to you for hours and make it seem like minutes.

Her house was always the place to be during the LaGrange Street Polish Festival. Every year it turned into a neighborhood and classmates reunion. If you happen to be with her at a store or restaurant, you could almost guarantee she'd run into someone she knew and could catch up for hours. She loved listening to music. She loved many genres and artists but always came back to her favorite 50s/60s classics. Let us also not forget her love for Cher. She loved sitting on her front porch with her neighbors and letting those know who drove too fast to "SLOW DOWN!"

Surviving are her sons, Donald (Brandie) Wagner, Christopher (Gretchen) Wagner, Daniel Wagner, and Steven Wagner; daughters, Christine (Ernie) Anello, and Barb Gerken; 25 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Carl Edward Wagner; sister, Regina Timiney; daughter, Angela Wagner; grandchildren, Megan Gerken, and Zachary Bell.

The family will receive friends and family at the Thos. I Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Rd. on Saturday January 8, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 6:00 p.m. Due to the spread of Covid, we will have a celebration of her life at another time in 2022.
