Kenneth J. Kujawa Obituary

For 79 years, Kenneth J. Kujawa made a lasting impact on everyone he met beginning when he was born to Walter and Alice (Stelmaszak) Kujawa on January 5, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio. Ken graduated from Macomber High School in 1961. He proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1965-1971 and successfully completed the School of Apprentices as a Pipefitter through the Toledo Board of Education in 1976. Ken was also an active member of the Catholic War Veterans. He was Polish and was proud of it! Ken enjoyed listening and dancing to a good polka and enjoyed eating polish placek (coffee cake) and a lemon filled paczki.

Ken worked at Doehler-Jarvis and was a Pipefitter at General Motors, retiring in 2007.

Ken married the love of his life, Sharon Czerniak, on August 17, 1968, and they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage together. Most people only dream of having such a loving and devoted relationship.

Ken's children, Chad, Heather, and Craig, were his greatest accomplishments in life and were his pride and joy. He loved them deeply and supported their dreams. When Ken became a grandfather, life became even more exciting whether he was cheering on his granddaughter, Olivia, at one of her St. Ursula Academy volleyball games, or eating Honey Nut Cheerios with his grandsons, Lucas and Owen. Ken loved to put puzzles together, especially with Olivia and his great niece, Cambria.

Ken was known as "Mr. Fix It" and insisted on helping anyone who thought of paying someone to fix something around the house. He was known for his kind and gentle ways unless the Ohio State Buckeyes were losing in a football game which may have been the only time you heard Ken use inappropriate language. Ken was an avid golfer and had a "Hole In One" on Hole #12, Par 3, 103 yards with a 9-Iron at Ottawa Park Golf Course on September 30, 2002. He bowled on many leagues, including the "Ma and Pa League" at Little Flower Catholic Church where he was a member for 45 years. Ken coached and volunteered there and enjoyed being an active member of the Men's Club.

On March 10, 2023, Ken left this world taken by angels to meet loved ones who were anxiously awaiting his arrival. His mother and father; father-in-law, Alvin Czerniak; mother-in law, Virginia Czerniak; brother-in law, John Czerniak; brother, Norman Kujawa; sister-in law, Nida Kujawa; and special furry friends, Dusty, Smokey, and Rusty.

Left to carry on traditions of family gatherings which will always include kielbasa and lemon desserts are Kenneth's loving wife, Sharon; children, Chad (Lisa Borucki) Kujawa, Heather (David) Langendorfer, Craig (Jennifer) Kujawa; grandchildren, Olivia Langsdorf, Lucas and Owen Kujawa, Nate, TJ, and Amanda Borucki; sister, Charlene (Steve) Walenczak; niece, Lisa (Brad) DeWitt; sister-in-law, Darlene Kline; nephew, Taylor Kline; great niece, Cambria Kline; best friends (family), Chris and Ty Saleh; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ken will also be dearly missed by his loving companion, Tabbie.

A special thank you to Lisa Borucki for the depth of her medical knowledge, devotion to Ken, and to the entire family. We love you and will be forever grateful.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd.
