Lizetta Lauber
Lizetta was born in Romania. She passed away in her home on Saturday morning, November 22, 2025. After the war her family moved to Israel where she was raised and where she met and married the love of her life, Mendel Lauber. Together they raised a family in the best way they knew how. Lizetta adored her grandchildren.
They moved to America in 1969 and started a new life, making new friends and entertaining often. Lizetta was a fantastic cook. Her soups were the best around. She was also a skilled baker who could make the flakiest pie crusts and most delicious poppy seed and not rolls.
Lizetta volunteered at the International Institute helping foreigners get acquainted, often she would invite them to her table for dinner. She loved welcoming guests and she was a fantastic hostess/balaboosta.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mendel in 2000.
Surviving are her children, Diana, Israel, Iris, Amir, Jordana and Orly. A step-son Steve also preceded her in death. Also surviving are grandchildren, Natanel, Ronen, Rinat, Idan, Roey, Caroline, Benjamin, David, Mandy and Shana.
Services and interment will be held in Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.
