Lori Ann Cole of Maumee, OH passed away peacefully at age 60 surrounded by her family and best friend and caretaker, Lisa LaPoint on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. She was born to Kenneth and Mary (Cole) Whitten on February 19, 1963.
Anyone fortunate enough to have known Lori, knows she was a hard worker and cared deeply for her associates, employees, clients and customers. Her dedication and pride in her work brought her much success in the businesses she owned, K & G Auto and Roanoak Place. No matter what task Lori was working on, everyone knew where to find her and that she would always have an ear to lend.
Lori loved traveling the world, soaking up sun on the beach, and being a proud Moma to her grandchildren, Karl (Joey), Mikayla and Luke. She was preceded in death by her lifelong partner of 42 years, Karl LaPoint, Jr. last year; her parents, Kenneth and Mary (Cole) Whitten; and sister, Linda Cole.
She is survived by her son, Karl III (Kelly) LaPoint; and her brother, Jon (Donna) Whitten.
Visitation will be held at Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Services will follow on Tuesday August 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will immediately follow the burial at Sylvania Area Family Services, 5440 Marshall Rd,, Sylvania. Fresh flowers can be sent to: Thomas I Wisniewski Funeral Home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Victory Center.
Lori was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by many.
