Marcia Gayle Malkin

Marcia Gayle Malkin passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 68. She leaves behind her sisters Leslie Malkin-Gosdin and Karen Malkin, her brother-in-law Jim Gosdin and nieces Danielle and Aliya. 

Marcia was born on May 10, 1957 in Toledo, the daughter of Lewis and Harriet Malkin. She was a lifelong Toledo resident and dedicated civil servant. She graduated from Start High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Davis College. She worked for 39 years at the Lucas County Sanitation Department, which she affectionately referred to as the “poop plant”. 

Marcia was well known throughout the community. People often saw her at local events and establishments. She loved visiting her family in other cities. 

She will be remembered as the conduit to the family. She was always caring, checking in on family and friends to catch up and see how they were doing. She knew about all the local events  and places to go. 

There will be graveside services at Beth Shalom Cemetery on Monday July 21 at 1PM. The family invites you to celebrate her life and share memories following the service at Chabad House.
