Marcus L. Beightol of Maumee, OH died at the age of 69 after a long illness.
His main work throughout his adult life was Toledo Interior Plantscaping, which he started and then grew for 35 years. He also started Oasis, a retail greenhouse on West Alexis Road in Sylvania. He designed unforgettable natural environments mainly in commercial settings.
Marcus was predeceased by his parents, James and Sylvia (Soloff) Beightol. He is survived by his sisters, Gail (Robert) Pettit and Joy Beightol; nieces; nephews; and great nephews; co-workers; and close friends. He is also survived by his friend and former wife, Sharon, who with the support of her husband, helped Marc remain at home and safe for years until a recent hospitalization. Although he was generous to many people during his life, his love and care for his Grandma Beightol before she died at the age of 101, was something special to witness.
Private graveside services at Graham Cemetery in Wayne, OH were held April 10, 2021, Pastor Martin Billmeier of St. Lucas Lutheran Church presiding. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Lucas, Dementia Society of America, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by the Robert H. Wick/Wisniewski Funeral Home.
